NURHI Commends Tiwa Savage, Paul Okoye Over “Get it together”

The Nigerian Urban Reproductive Health
Initiative (NURHI) has commended music
artists, Tiwa Savage and Paul Okoye of
PSquare for releasing the theme song titled
“Get It Together”.
NURHI said in a statement that the song is
to create awareness about family planning,
emphasizing its benefits to men and women
of reproductive age.
It said the campaign would better the
previous family planning campaign in
Nigeria themed “Wait for Me” which was
launched in 1989.
“It is set to increasing contraceptive use
among women and increasing access to
family planning services.
“The artists released the song after being
made ambassadors of NURHI.
“The musicians in the song stressed that
proper planning saves the family and
couples should be mindful of doing
mistakes.
“It is good to make no regret because
couples are meant to celebrate each other.
“The people who know about family
planning are the people who know how to
manage its time and attention to other
needs in the family”.
The artists, in the song said “married
couples should get together and plan well
adding that most women who know what it
is, plan well for the future’’. NAN
