Nigerian stand-up comedian Julius Agwu has revealed
that he almost took his own life after series of
depression.
The Rivers State born actor, dancer, and comedian was
a guest on a radio programme on Nigeria Info, 99.3FM
on the evening of Thursday February 4, when he told
the story of his survival from a brain surgery which
began with a seizure he suffered while on set,
recording his own series.
Ever bubbling Julius went emotional when the
presenter of Men's Room took him back to a comment
he made about his wife being the Angel God sent to
rush him to hospital.
"Hmmm, my wife, there is this thing many people do
not know. I have not talked about it before but let me
tell you now. Do you know we broke up?"
The presenter who apparently was shocked and trying
to reconcile the praises he showered on the woman
and the sudden revelation, asked "you mean break-up
with your wife?"
Julius now narrated how he moved out of his home for
two months and had just returned few days before the
interview. He talked about the value he place on
marriage and why he was determined to make his work
but lamented that sometimes, obviously referring to his
wife, people make themselves available to the devil to
use them .
Julius did not give much details to the reasons why he
parked out of his house but stressed that the situation
was unbearable for him to the extent that he
contemplated suicide.
Julius Agwu will be hosting his first show after the
brain surgery on Sunday, February 7, in Lagos.
It seems the comedian whose job is making people
laugh needs to take life easier now...
